Good news! I’m excited to announce that Kirkus has given Plastic Polly a positive review! For those of you who don’t know, Kirkus is a VERY well-respected voice in the literary world, and they don’t hold anything back in their reviews. I have to admit, I was equal parts excited and terrified when I heard they’d decided to read Plastic Polly. So naturally since they liked it, I wanted to post the review here: (or you can read it here on Kirkus).
Pretty cool, right? The reviewer summed up the story perfectly and I love it that he/she “got” Polly’s character journey from “rudderless follow to resourceful leader.” The words have been making me smile a lot the last few days.
