Welcoming the Spring

It’s been a while since I posted on my blog, and while I didn’t intentionally set out to take a blogging break it seems that’s what I’ve done. In the last few months I’ve been hard at work revising THE OPAL CROWN, the sequel to THE PRINCESS IN THE OPAL MASK and hope to have a cover and a synopsis to share with you soon. As revisions are winding down I’ve spent some time doing a few more restful things, like…

scrabble game at ettoresPlaying Scrabble with my husband at one of our favorite cafes (and getting beaten nearly every time, I’m sorry to say).

old soul coffee 2Drinking some fabulous cups of coffee

spring treeAnd taking walks in my favorite park and welcoming the spring.

It’s been a more restful season, and after the craziness of the fall and holiday seasons, I’ve been really grateful for it. But I’ve got a few things coming up in the near future the first of which is…

The spring leg of the YA Scavenger Hunt is next week and I have been selected as one of the participating authors! The Hunt will go live on Thursday, APRIL 3rd at 12 pm Pacific Time and end on Sunday, APRIL 6th at noon Pacific time. I’ll also be running a contest here on my own blog that day. So don’t forget to check back, and look for me on the Red Team!

  1. You have leaves? And flowering trees already? So jealous! =) Looks like you’ve had a nice break.

    • Yep- I live in California and this was the Winter That Wasn’t. I feel for you guys in the midwest, I don’t think my California self would survive your winters :0)

  2. All of those sound glorious! It’s snowing here so the picture of that dogwood (my favorite tree) makes me a little jealous. 😉 Welcome back to blogging!

  3. I live in Sacramento, “the city of trees” and it’s fantastic. You should come visit sometime :0) Also, I cannot wait for your book!
